A.D.A.M. health content and tools are designed to work with more than just your website. As a licensed A.D.A.M. client, you have the ability to use A.D.A.M. health articles and other health tools in your marketing materials to let people know your website includes physician developed and reviewed health information. Below are some of the ways you can use, and promote, the A.D.A.M. health content in your marketing programs.

Health Observances
Include links to A.D.A.M. articles and tools in monthly health observances campaigns. See our monthly health observances document for monthly observances and corresponding A.D.A.M. articles, In-Depth Reports, images and tools. After developing your own messaging, include hyperlinks to the A.D.A.M. content on your website to the items listed.

Service Line Marketing
Promoting your top service lines is a high priority - did you know you can use the A.D.A.M. content within your service line marketing campaigns? Check out our Service Line Marketing document, where we’ve identified the top 3 A.D.A.M. articles by page views, the corresponding In-Depth Reports and A.D.A.M. images for some of the top service lines. Use them in your newsletters, web pages - you can even use them in your print communications! Just be sure to reference the full A.D.A.M. article from your website. To license hi-res versions of A.D.A.M. artwork, speak to your client relationship manager.

Health Centers
Did you know you can replace the image on the home page of the A.D.A.M. Health Centers with any image you want? Replace the image with a photo of your hospital, or hospital logo, a picture of a leading doctor in that service line or maybe even some of your hospital's most recent patients.


Social Media-A.D.A.M. Facebook Tab
Now that you have A.D.A.M. health information on your website, make sure to spread the word to your customers and potential patients! You can add the A.D.A.M. products that you license to your Facebook fan page with your own A.D.A.M. product fan page tab. Simply set up the tab on your Facebook page using the attached instructions, remove any products you do not license, and add hyperlinks to the products on your website. Social Media-Facebook and Twitter
Promote the A.D.A.M. tools like the Symptom Navigator or Wellness Tools by highlighting them in your next Facebook post or Twitter tweet and include a link to the tool on your website within the post. A great way to add substance to your social media messages and lead people back to your website in the process. Or, use a snippet of information from an A.D.A.M. article in your post - as long as you link back to the full A.D.A.M. article you can use them as often as you like!

Internal Promotions
Don't forget - hospital staff are a great way to get the message out to patients and others that your website includes online consumer health content and tools. Include a line in your internal promotions, or perhaps highlight a different A.D.A.M. tool in each monthly internal newsletter. Post links to the A.D.A.M. content on your company intranet so your staff can easily access it.


Paid Search
Did you know that you can link to any A.D.A.M. health article from your Google adword campaign? Use the health articles to drive online health seekers to the information they're looking for. Most online health searchers start at a major search engine - use the A.D.A.M. health articles to your advantage to get their attention and drive them to your hospital website.

Printed Newsletters
You can use the content from the A.D.A.M. articles that you license in your print newsletters to your community, as well as any A.D.A.M. image in the encyclopedia! Contact your client relationship manager about pricing for hi-resolution images, and be sure to reference the full A.D.A.M. health article on your website in the newsletter (which will drive people back to your website!).


Print Ads
Promote the A.D.A.M. content to your community in print ads in local newspapers, magazines, or wherever you promote your hospital. Use the A.D.A.M. online health content to let your community know you provide this valuable resource free of charge to your community - with no third party advertisements or links to bogus websites.


Handouts in the Hospital
Create handouts that can be left in waiting rooms, emergency rooms, or anywhere else within the hospital where you interact with your community. Let them know that the A.D.A.M. health library is available to them from your website 24 hours a day.

Pregnancy Central Marketing Video
Promote your Pregnancy Central content to your community and patients. Use the video in your marketing efforts as an informational advertisement on closed-circuit television (CCTV), interactive kiosks and in physician waiting rooms. Add the video to your website to give visitors a brief overview of Pregnancy Central before they visit the content.
