It incorporates a new visual search interface with comprehensive results that include symptoms, diseases, injuries, tests, self care and surgeries. New progressive 3D avatars representing four ethnicities – Caucasian, African American, Hispanic and Asian – give you the option to specify ethnicity as well as the gender and age that best represent your target audience and allow you to build a closer relationship with your community.

Twitter Tweets and Facebook Promote Your A.D.A.M. Health Information Through Social Media Marketing

During this year’s Virtual Client Summit we received requests to create more Twitter Tweets that clients can use in their social marketing. We listened and have added a whole new collection of Twitter Tweets in our Marketing Toolkit. Download the Twitter Tweets document and select your favorite tweets from the 2011 health observances, products or service lines tabs. The tweets are designed to be used with a short URL to link back to your website. Create a short URL with a product like bit.ly or tiny url. You can also use a snippet from one of our articles, as long as you link back to the full article on your website.

We’ve also created a Facebook fan page that you can add to your existing page to showcase the A.D.A.M. health information on your website. Make sure to spread the word to your community and patients by adding the A.D.A.M. products that you license to your Facebook fan page with your own A.D.A.M. product fan page tab. Simply set up the tab on your Facebook page, add hyperlinks to the products on your website and remove any products you do not license. There are now 42 medical specialties mapped to every article in both the Multimedia Encyclopedia and the Health Illustrated Encyclopedia. New specialties include: anesthesiology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, podiatry and radiation oncology. And now we’ve also mapped specialties to In-Depth Reports articles and DecisionAssist tools, giving you even more ways to connect people to your services from A.D.A.M. health information.
